The Kent Running School is based in central Sevenoaks where it operates alongside a busy and well established physiotherapy practice as well as other allied healthcare professionals. The combination of The Running School programs, experienced physiotherapists and the leading edge application of sports rehabilitation provides a comprehensive service to elite and novice athletes alike.


Biomechanical and Movement Analysis – £30

Video Analysis of Running Technique and a Movement Screening test to identify weaknesses and movement deficiencies.

This is the starting point for many of our clients who want to improve their technique. This is treadmill based session and involves a biomechanical analysis of running technique & movement screening  lasting about 30 minutes. 


Running School for Kids – 6 sessions £260 / 12 sessions £500

When working with children we look at their individual needs and based on their age, ability and goals, we tailor the sessions to suit and of course what they are going to enjoy the most. The sessions include: work to improve running technique, Dynamic Movement Skills (to work on agility and coordination) and balance work.

We will then progress (particularly in our 12 session package) to improve speed and quick feet specific to the sport(s) they play.


Adult Running Technique Coaching - 6 sessions £260

This is the main service for many of our clients who want to improve their technique. This package includes: a detailed biomechanical analysis of running technique & movement screening, five coaching sessions, and our running school handbook (this includes beginner and intermediate running programmes and a strength programme). At the end of your six sessions we provide you with "before" and "after" clips of your running style so you can see how much you have improved and use the clips to keep on track! 

We recommend that these sessions are completed in 10 weeks, with the first 3 sessions completed in the first 2 weeks.


Walking For Rehab & Fitness - 2 sessions £100

This is the starting point for many of our clients who may present with issues when walking; such as limping, having unusual walking patterns or who have difficulties walking long and short distances. This package is made up of two sessions which include a detailed biomechanical analysis of walking gait along with movement screening and a coaching and exercise program to improve the walking experience. This is ideal if you have had surgery or injury in the lower limb or spine area, helping you to recover so you can walk for fitness or simply start to enjoy your walking again.


Straight Line Speed – 12 sessions £540 (10% off) / 18 sessions £750 (15% off)

For those looking to improve their straight line speed as well as technique, this is the package for you. Our Running Speed protocol involves our treadmill based speed protocols with a focus on improving your performance.

Again we start with a detailed biomechanical analysis of running technique & movement screening. We then progress to our treadmill based running programme which will help you to develop your straight line speed and explosiveness. We will also develop your rotational core strength through exercises that we do both in the centre and give to you as homework.

In our 18 session package we will also provide you with a personalised training programme which covers all aspects of your training from fitness, strength and conditioning, and core work.


Sport Speed – 12 session block £540 (10% off) / 18 session block £750 (15% off)

This programme is for any individual involved in multi-directional sports such as Football, Tennis, and Rugby.

As with all our programmes we start with a detailed biomechanical analysis of running technique & movement screening and technique coaching. From here the programme combines our treadmill based speed sessions with sessions of Dynamic Movement Skills which target your agility, quickness of feet and turning ability, as well as your explosiveness. All of this will be tailored to your individual sport. We will also develop your rotational core strength through exercises that we do both in the centre and give to you as homework.

In our 18 session block again our focus is on improving performance. We recommend this as an intensive block which is a 6-8 week programme that we use with our elite athletes. This incorporates two running sessions and one multi-directional session per week. This provides the maximum stimulus for speed whatever your sport. Again we will provide you with a customised Training Programme so that every aspect of your training has been covered.


Individual Technique Sessions – £50

You can have individual sessions as frequently or as infrequently as you like following an initial 6 session course. These session will focus on improving and maintaining technique, increasing running conditioning and continuing to prevent injury.
